After a consultative process between students, teachers, parents and the community the Maryborough Education Centre has established the following code of conduct for the whole school community.
The values, actions and behaviours outlined below, will form the basis for all MEC planning and programming.
The Maryborough Education Centre acknowledges that because of the diverse nature of the individual classes at our school it is impossible to have the same class rules for each class. However, to provide consistency each class will operate on the understanding that:
1. All students have the right to an education free from the disruption of others.
2. All members of Maryborough Education Centre must feel safe and secure during their time at school.
3. All classroom rules and the Centre Safe School Policy shall reflect the values, actions and behaviours of the code of conduct.

1.Relationships are to be inclusive, supportive and positive.
2.Individuals are encouraged to enjoy learning experiences within a whole school environment.
3.Provide a relevant curriculum that promotes social skills and real life experiences. |

Safety |
1.Through an effective Health and Wellbeing program, MEC will endeavour to provide an environment that is safe, secure and free from bullying or harassment.
2.Students are to be taught the skills to maintain their own physical and emotional safety.
3.Safety is the responsibility of all. |
